Flashback to 2004!

 Yesterday’s glow up challenge made me realise my oldest characters Mitral aka. Maive and Nargwhanal aka. Narya are both turning 20 years old next year ;;0;; this is crazy…. 20 years… I’ve got to celebrate this next year in as many ways as possible xD this is foreboding… I mean foreshadowing 💦

Oh and Adal is from 2009 and Marune from 2007! Their time will come too >:D

Comic updates

Greetings from the comic lair! I caught a hideous cold, which has hindered my progress a bit, but I’m sure we will see at least a little something at Tampere Kuplii 2019
 I will be there the whole weekend this time and can be found on table number 5 ^^
Homer has luckily been there for me throughout this trying time, mainly sleeping on top of me.

The reality of my graduation is finally sinking in. I wake up in the morning and there is no longer a thesis to write (or lectures to hold, hehe) nor homework to do, instead I can just draw? What devilry is this?? I mean I do have jobs still, but everything is just so easy compared to writing my thesis or holding a university level lecture course, who would've known xD
  I’ve been working on new pages, but I’m so slow… I can only hope I’ll start to pick up speed as I get used to this new world.
I’m also nervous about drawing Mitral, everything needs to be perrrfect but it never is xD

Mitral, my Heavenly Body of Blood Magic

Mitral,  my oldest, reddest darling, doing what Mitral often does which is blood magic.

I loved doing that hair, but it took way longer than I imagined. Can you tell red is my favorite colour? Or, maybe it is just blood that is my favorite colour. Ahhh <3
 The last one is a joke version, but I did want to make Mitral have red eyes, but I think the green ones stand out better. Both are equally canon anyway. Which one do you like better? :D
This one is also a part of the Heavenly Bodies series, but I’ll keep the buttside hidden this time, because I can.

What I enjoy most about doing these doublesided bookmarks is the fact that I get to draw alllll that hair twice 💖 it just takes a little time…

Back in Business

Suddenly no more thesis.
I’ve celebrated by starting a new piece on Mitral,my oldest, truest darling. You’ll find out more about this critter when I finally reboot my comic; hopefully this autumn!
And for once I got Mitral’s face just right,it is so hard you wouldn't even believe it...

Flashback March vol. 2

Time for another entry to my Flashback March~
Here’s a Mitral I painted for one of my very first conventions a bit after I had published my first comic. Mitral was one of the main characters in it. Well, to be exact the main character. Much of the story revolves around the misadventures and bad decisions this dumb red head makes.
 Look forward to that, for if everything goes as I’ve planned you’ll meet Mitral in a proper comic this year. With less edgelordyness, too, maybe.

AND! In case I forgot to mention, I will be tabling at Tampere Kuplii on Saturday the 24th of March! Come say hi if you're around ^^ 

Å-Fest and some really old art

Visited home last weekend, and there I have all of my old, old art school paintings and such stored. There I painted a lot of things but my favorite is a narrative pentatych 140cm high and 160 cm wide when opened. It is hands on the biggest piece I’ve ever done! This is a detail of the biggest, central piece.
I made it in the vein of medieval altarpieces, with doors and all. It tells the tale of my main char for life Mitral 💖

ALSO! I'll be in Å-Fest this weekend! It is a small comic festival in Porvoo! So, if you happen to be around there, do come say hi ^^

Art Summary 2016

 I decided to finally make a summary of my own too, since it has been a productive year for me. Though, far from the level of productivity I would like to reach. A proper piece for each month would be so nice, here we still have a lot of silly little doodles for many months. Well, let’s see how it goes next year!

 Thank you all who have been a part of my life this past year, and I sincerely hope next year will be better for all of us!

Autumn

As I have many projects underway, and none of them such that I can share with you just yet, I’ll settle with a friendly neighbourhood reminder of my Redbubble shoppe~ I’ve been uploading all my works there as they come along.

So, please have a look, if you will, for I am but a poor artist trying to make their ends meet, in a cruel and a lonely world. Que sad violins.

 Well, I hope I'll have some art to share with you sooner rather than later, but we shall need to see! Some of these projects will take a very long time to finish! <3

The Alley of Desucon

Desucon has announced their Artists’ Alley artists! ....But they still didn’t tell anyone’s table number, I’ll inform you lovelies about that as soon as possible. This is the poster I made for their catalogue

 So, next Saturday, the 11th of June you can find me behind a table in Lahti! The Alley has moved to the Dealer’s Den, so don’t try to search for us in the old balcony where we used to be.

 I have a new piece in the works, but unfortunately seems like it will not make it to Desucon. But fear not, Finncon and its proud alley are just behind the corner and I’m sure you’ll find it there, and of course here as soon as it's finished!

Mitral & Summer Schedule

 Those ancient beings that got a hold of my comic all those years ago might recognise this darling~ They are a key player in the story of my comic, and hopefully Mitral will become familiar to many more readers in the future... When I restart that ancient comic of mine.

This was even supposed to be just a sketch, ended up spending three days with it. Sick with flu at that.

 As for my schedule for this summer, it looks magnificently busy!

• First, I'll be on the artists' alley of Desucon 11th of June, on a Saturday for once!
•  After that my prints and other products will be available in the Little Shop of Horrors of Oulu Dungeon from the 29th of June to the 8th of July! This will be the northernmost place my stuff has ever been available.
•  During that same time I will participate in the Finncon artists' alley, from the 2nd to the 3rd of July in Tampere to sell my art!
•  I've also booked a trader's table at Ropecon, from the 29th to the 31st of July! This will be my 10th consecutive Ropecon attended and I decided to celebraty by seeing how my art will please the congoers, please come and say hi~

 I have this beautiful one week of no lectures in between courses, which I will of course use to try and draw something worthwhile. Let's see how it goes.

I also went to see the cherry blossoms of Roihuvuori now that I have all this free time. So, so much free time

3rd week of characters

3rd week of original characters. This batch contains many of my absolute favorite darlings of all time. Many of them are main characters of the ye olde comic. Starting from the top left corner is Adal Bodgen a human lady and one of the main characters in my comic. To her right is the one I probably love most, easily my oldest character still around Mitral lounging around in very strange get up indeed. Below Mitral is Sirithyvin Aunirothu an undead creature living in the shadow's of Adal's home country. The his left is the yellow eyed Faurgwaith, and like the aforementioned trio a very important character in the comic.
 And last is the odd one out Ghuelan Nargwhanal's sworn retainer, bodyguard and swordsmanship teacher.
