The Road goes ever ever on

Here's an invitation I drew for my mother's retirement party! She requested an invitation with the lyrics from The Road goes Ever on from Tolkien's the Hobbit, with a picture to complement it. I was only too happy to oblige for it was mum who read me the entire Lord of the rings out loud when I was a child and I am forever grateful for that. It made me who I am basically xD
So this was a really happy commission to do!
Now I hope November lets me continue the comic, too x'D

Tiny comic update

Inking, inking, inkinggg, moss is the best. But yeah, this takes time xD
And I realise my earlier post about free time might've been a bit misleading :-----D I do have two jobs at the moment so I do not indeed draw every day, which also slows me down a bit! I started to get nervous thinking people will expect more from me 💦💦

SPEAKING OF WHICH

decided to draw something ridiculously self-indulgent as a year end gift for myself, now that I have a moment’s respite from all the teachings and whatnots. Still working on the comic too, but this piece has been burning on my head for months. Take care of yourself, my lovelies.

Return of Shiranui!

I had to skip two sessions of Rogue Trader due to working too much, and we collectively decided Shiranui, my eldar corsair, spent the time celebrating Khaine’s birthday (or maybe even his Nimipäivä). This consisted of a week of carousing, space drug abusing, mayhaps a few human sacrifices and a general lack of pants on part of all participants.
Afterwards he went and saved a fellow pirate (human) from that cute dog that everyone remembers, which turned out to be a demonspawn of Nurgle, while nursing a hangover to end all hangovers. I seriously sad about that, I really wanted that dog, and by me I mean Shiranui :'(

Shira got a spes norovirus from his troubles, but the saved pirate pal got a case of singing boils, so things could be worse 🖤 the doodle is silly, but I was so happy to finally play I wanted to share 🖤

I love drawing wings almost more than anything (you might've noticed). My latest project has me drawing a particularly excessive pair, which makes me so happy 🖤🖤🖤 More information on this secret project will be revealed soon(ish)

Endless Dragon Cave

Hello~~ I’m sorry for the lack of art recently, I’m teaching a course with two lectures per week and it has eaten up all of my time :( But only a few weeks left and THEN my life should be a bit more normal (I hope)
So instead of new doodles, have a video of a well over 10 metre long dragon cave drawing I did as a child 💖 I really want to do something similar again in the future, but with better art xD I've recently been (again) very inspired with emakimono picture scrolls. too

Sirithyvin in the works

Here’s a few wips of my current drawing of Sirithyvin having a such a good time. They all do.
Sirithyvin is also a character in that comic I’m working on, but we won’t meet poor Siri for a good while yet.
Ad a bonus helper cat, who is not Homer even if a lot of people thought he was, it is yet another cat I've been taking care of! If there's one thing I'll never run out of it is cats.

Back in Business

Suddenly no more thesis.
I’ve celebrated by starting a new piece on Mitral,my oldest, truest darling. You’ll find out more about this critter when I finally reboot my comic; hopefully this autumn!
And for once I got Mitral’s face just right,it is so hard you wouldn't even believe it...

 Nargwhanal is an old character of mine from That Comic, but normally there’s actual skin and bones on this shindran darling~
If all goes well you’ll be able to see for yourself this autumn, but before that there will be bookmarks for Tampere kuplii! See you there :D

 I couldn’t NOT draw even if the thesis does take the majority of my time. I wanted to make this skeletally pretty Nargwhanal as a bookmark for Tampere Kuplii 💖

Back to Finland doodle

Two weeks of intensive reading of nothing but academic books seems to have affected my ability to draw, I doodle furiously for almost five hours on Sunday while we roleplayed, and this is all I managed to produce in the end... Oh well... He is an ancient character of mine, that popped back to surface when I saw some pictures that reminded me of him.
 I need to focus heavily on my thesis for the next two months, so there will be less new art coming your way unfortunately. I am thinking of making these coming months a time for Blasts from the past, and share some older stuff that no one remembers anymore!

 Also, me and my partners in crime Rikkis & Pihlajatar will be at Tampere Kuplii next month! More info closer to the event, but look forward to that at least ^-^

Caterpillar Boy of Book-loving

When I was still young, (and so was the Internet), there were a lot of insanely cute and slightly disturbing caterpillar boys in the dark corners of the web that I hung out in. I loved them. I still do, but haven’t seen any in a long, long time.  Maybe there is still a caterpillar boy nook out there somewhere, that I just don’t know about…   /sigh

Anyway, this book loving little fella is also going to be a bookmark, that I will be selling in Desucon Frostbite in Lahti, Finland, this weekend! So, if you’re around, do come say hi, I have tons of other stuff too. I’ll be there on both Saturday and Sunday, as I am not on the Artists’ Alley, but in the Trade Hall (which are both conveniently in the same hall, actually).
 And for all of you internationals, who can't be in Lahti, I also slapped him to my Redbubble Shoppe!

Telephone Art Game vol 2!

We did it again! This time with more artists and more chaos and more everything! It was amazing and took over half a year but now We're finally done, and here's the result of the Telephone Art Game of 2017-2018

Boy of all the Blades

 And here we have the latest Heavenly Body all done and primped up for you lovelies!

 There will be bookmarks of him, and the official Heavenly body available this Saturday at Höyryn Joulumarkkinat in Steam Hellsinki bar from 13-18! This will be a very limited run, but hopefully evryone who desires one will have their wish fulfilled.

A New Heavenly Pretty in the Works

The next Heavenly Creature is well on its way, amazing what a thesis can do to one’s artistic creativity!
