November commercials

Hello my darlings 。+゚*○゜☆*。*.・+★.。!
I can’t show you the mysterious wing in all its glory just yet, but instead I will shamelessly advertise my webshops! Winter solstice is coming, and I’ve uploaded a ton of new designs to my Redbubble shop, and a few new stickers onto my Tictail~
To keep things as simple as possible, if you’re interested in my comics, artbooks, stickers and A4-sized prints, please go to~

I put my art book the Heavenly Bodies & my latest comic Feather & Scale on sale until the end of this month All orders will be sent out with some nice extras, because I love you and am grateful for the support!

And if you’re interested in the shirts, dresses scarfs, tote bags, and whatnots shown in this post, you can find them in my~

Why not get yourself a festive dress of my bby darling Mitral mutilating their fair skin (without any pants on) .+(´^ω^`)+. Nothing says Merry Christmas like some blood on snow white skin ♡♡

I will also not be attending any events this year, at least not yet, so if you want some of my stuff before 2019, this is the only way :(

Goats and Comic Festivals

...That might've been the best title for a blog post in all my blogging years.
 Welll, anyway:

I decided to post this darling right now since I need to tell everyone that I will be attending the Stockholm international comics festival this weekend! If you’re in Stockholm come say hi to me and the random assortment of friends I brought along! There will be art & comics by Rikkisu & Pihlajatar, too ^^

Caterpillar Boy of Book-loving

When I was still young, (and so was the Internet), there were a lot of insanely cute and slightly disturbing caterpillar boys in the dark corners of the web that I hung out in. I loved them. I still do, but haven’t seen any in a long, long time.  Maybe there is still a caterpillar boy nook out there somewhere, that I just don’t know about…   /sigh

Anyway, this book loving little fella is also going to be a bookmark, that I will be selling in Desucon Frostbite in Lahti, Finland, this weekend! So, if you’re around, do come say hi, I have tons of other stuff too. I’ll be there on both Saturday and Sunday, as I am not on the Artists’ Alley, but in the Trade Hall (which are both conveniently in the same hall, actually).
And for all of you internationals, who can't be in Lahti, I also slapped him to my Redbubble Shoppe!

This baby is also a part of the Heavenly Bodies series I’m currently working on, check out the Heavenly Bodies tag for more!

And a bonus Homer, because he is the sweetest and cutest cat ever. Such a cuddly boy :'3

Redbubble Reminder

This is but a coy reminder of a Redbubble shop of a starving student/artist :’D

I tend to upload all my finished work there, so if you like what I do, have a peek! Currently it is also the only place where you can get my prints internationally, since I had to close down my Tictail shop…
You can find the place right here:

…And also I had to share these nightmare inducing Cheery Centipede Boy sheets, for all your lizard disco nights :’D I still giggle every time I see them

The Red Shroud

The Red Shroud, 2017

I love making these, it is so relaxing and stimulating at the same time. And moreover helps me to process the more esoteric and abstract levels of my ye olde comic, one that will hopefully one day be reborn…

Slapped it into my Rebubble too.

The Day After

As my comic work is winding down, I need to start worrying about graduating from University. I’m supposed to be doing research for my seminar work, but instead. Instead I started writing a short story about a meat eating nightcrawly elf having a serious case of blood orgy hangover. Whats-more I did a fucking painting of him, too :’D My thesis is so fucked.

This is known as the Hangover of Severan, or in Finnish “Severanin darrapäivä”

pps. Some of you might've noticed that he shares a name with my former rpg-character. He is a spiritual descendant of my assassin-acolyte, but reimagined in the setting of the City of Cities, where meat eating elves roam, among other things

Mizane the Librarian

I was casually flipping through and old sketch book and stumbled upon this old sketch, then realising I had never properly scanned and posted it anywhere! So I did, and in the process added some colour to the background which I found to be just a tad too bland for my tastes.

The magnificent beast in question is Mizane, the offspring of a star crossed romance between a cat who fell in love with an elf. The parents were very happy for a time, but poor Mizane was bullied and hated all over elfdom for his mixed heritage. But with unwavering determination he overcame all who tried to hurt him and became a venerated librarian, finally rising to a position of head librarian in a small, remote side library full of old and valuable tomes.
He is also just about as outrageous as is his sense of fashion. Truly a wonderful piece of booty! I hope I'll one day be able to do a little comic about him!

ps. I also added it to my Redbubble, since don't we all need a bunch of stuff with cat-elf stripper-librarians on them?

Autumn

As I have many projects underway, and none of them such that I can share with you just yet, I’ll settle with a friendly neighbourhood reminder of my Redbubble shoppe~ I’ve been uploading all my works there as they come along.

So, please have a look, if you will, for I am but a poor artist trying to make their ends meet, in a cruel and a lonely world. Que sad violins.
Well, I hope I'll have some art to share with you sooner rather than later, but we shall need to see! Some of these projects will take a very long time to finish! <3

A trip to rainbowvomit-land

Time to puke some rainbows~
I made shirt-able version of my sweet, innocent unicorn boy (whom I drew for that colouring booklet), frolicking away without a care in the world. Here to snatch all your hearts <3 With shōjo bubbles.

…And speaking of bubbles, this baby is of course available in my humble Redbubble shoppe~

And a happy little unicorn boy cannot indeed do without a friend, so I also updated my second illustration for the colouring booklet, a crafty karakasa.

And on a different note; I will be present at the Artists' Alley of Popcult (in Kulttuuritalo, Helsinki) on Sunday the 10th April! I will update some picture of possible new goodies I'll have available closer to the date, but for now they will be shrouded in mystery~

Web of Heaven

Darkness between the stars – therein lie voids immeasurable. Ceaseless. An insurmountable boundary, within which, beyond which, fans out the Web of Heaven. Guardian? Ward? Or just a stray in the emptiness beyond all paths?

Find more Lore here~  (and also on my Redbubble & Society6)

Visions of Endless Pasts

In the wandering of lifeless dust, within a hidden world of red, Blood God dreamt, of things forever lost, stolen futures and annihilated ends. Will anything remain before the wind?

Done in ink & secrets
More here

And I also made my very first t-shirt design (as in a drawing I've only meant to be a t-shirt... and not a piece of art)!

Society6

Suddenly I had a bit of freetime in my hands and I finally set up my Society6 shop. And yes, I know I already have a shop in Redbubble, but these All over print shirts are just too nice to pass up:

I have new paintings comicg up as soon as I have time to sit and paint! I'll keep you all lovelies posted~

PostTracon

Sorry I was going to write a quick note about Tracon's craft tables you know BEFORE the con but was so busy with malfunctioning printers and print houses and the beginning of my lectures that it just slipped my mind. Well, I did find out that I can't really update my blog from my phone either, for I tried.
But thank you all who came, and hope to see you again in the next event whatever that may be!

New stickers and a big (44 x 32 cm) Blood for the Blood God print! If you missed my table and would like to have something just write me a message, a poor artist-student is a poor artists-student after all~ (haltijakapala [å] gmail . com)

In other good news the new Tähtivaeltaja has a few illustrations by me! I am pretty happy about it ^^

And a last bonus: a small picture of a Blood for the Blood God scarf I ordered for myself from my Redbubble store, it is a fine beast of a scarf if you don't mind me saying!

From now on this blog might be a bit quiet for a while since I'm finishing my artbooklet and can't show you everything I put in it. Also a small comic is in the works, but I can't show you much of that either just yet... Thank you for your patience in advance

Lore of Blood

I’ve been doing some mighty fun things recently~ Doing abstract things is so relieving every once in a while…

One can see more of these here~

New store in Redbubble

Greetings yet again!
Finally, after  long and meticulous ponderings and preparings I have opened a new webshop for my prints, and even other, more daring things! In the end settled upon Redbubble, since the posting fees of Finnish post office are so vile no one (abroad) should endure them...
But alas! Enough yammering, here have a look at my brand new shop!

And a thank you to all who came and said hi at the alley! I had a lovely day, hopefully you all did too!
