Shiny paints!

 A while ago I tested out these lovely aurora paints I got from @rikkisu_art  way way back, but ofc I forgot to post anything about it xD I LOVE THESE!!! Now only if I had time to do some recreational paintings too, but all my time goes to trying to keep up with PoA updates x0 I'm almost done with the next page too! 

And I've got a few new exciting things coming up for Ropecon too, keep your eyes peeled >:D

Latetober doodle

Inktober came and went but I still wanted to try and doodle up a Nargwhanal to pair with the Mitral I made earlier (and a worried Marune)
Not super happy about how this came out but in the spirit of inktober I will upload this anyway <:D this was a strict 1 hour doodle. I ranoutoftime xD

The Jackdaw Bard strikes again!

Kurama's unbelievable, amazing exploits continue! Last night this brave jackdaw-bardman saved a black dragonborn from a real cage to the amazement of a group of malnourished and abandoned lil' noblins (we gave them a new home) and was promptly almost killed (again) by an underdark horror, after which we angered a beholder (luckily over the hobnoblin-phone) and almost got our asses handed to ourselves by that same group of hobnoblins. Fun times.

AND by the way, I'll be attending Finncon (in Turku this year) as a seller next week end! If you're around, come say hi! There's no entrance fee! Hopefully I'll have lots of new stuff with me ^^

Even more rpg doodles!

My jackdaw bard Kurama thunderwaved four hobnoblins off a cliff last time we played some dnd; and that was not even one quarter of the shenanigans he & bros got into. Huhhuh. So much happened… Like how this murderburd got shot to hell by a hognoblin mage, who was promptly murdered by Dr. Mlemmiwinks, Lord Hissington and Thia the non-beastly elf.
I’m also actually working on an actual piece but the reason for my hindrance can be found in the second picture xD
 I’ll mayhaps have a sneak peek by the end of the week…

Shiranui's Quest for Dog continued

Now for some visual evidence that I did go outside during the weekend.

AND bonus doodle of my Shiranui’s epic quest for dog in our Rogue Trader game (no one probably remembers that anymore xD).
My brave eldar corsair set his sights on a huge spes dog last time we played and this time he finally got within petting distance. Turns out the doge is made of slime and has psychic powers.

Back to Finland doodle

Two weeks of intensive reading of nothing but academic books seems to have affected my ability to draw, I doodle furiously for almost five hours on Sunday while we roleplayed, and this is all I managed to produce in the end... Oh well... He is an ancient character of mine, that popped back to surface when I saw some pictures that reminded me of him.
 I need to focus heavily on my thesis for the next two months, so there will be less new art coming your way unfortunately. I am thinking of making these coming months a time for Blasts from the past, and share some older stuff that no one remembers anymore!

 Also, me and my partners in crime Rikkis & Pihlajatar will be at Tampere Kuplii next month! More info closer to the event, but look forward to that at least ^-^

Elric of Melniboné

A mermified Elric of Melniboné for Marriakhan over in Tumblr​ as my part of the mini art-trade for Mermay :D He is very confused about the situation and about how to use Stormbringer underwater.

I’ve coincidentally been re-reading a bit of the good old Elric books and gushing over him as he is ...just a lot of things that I really, really like; e.g. broody, cruel, skinny, pale and with a big fucking sword of Chaos. And did think I’d like to do a tiny bit of fan art of him, and now I got the opportunity! Elric is also the reason I know Marriakhan since we "met" when I commented on an Elric fan art piece of theirs many, many years ago...

Marriakhan drew my derptastic elven sorcerer-druid Liehu, as a beautiful perfect little mer-elf!

Doodling cat-elves

I haven’t been able to draw much after finally finishing that comic. Just too tired, and busy with trying to graduate as quickly as possible.

But a fun little event of male beauty by the name Magic Meat March over in Tumblr was too good of an excuse to doodle my very emancipated half-elf half-cat equal parts sexy and awesome stripper-librarian darling Mizane. I even googled for sexy librarian poses but ended up doing almost exactly the same pose I originally did of him by accident – or just sheer exhaustion…

Enjoy this half an hour doodle of him, and let's hope I get myself back in the game next month. I am thinking of drawing my next mini-comic about him, though~

Rpg doodles

Silly little rpg doodle of my character Liehu (sorcerer-druid with cat on the left) and his one and only, much beloved brother Kieran (rogue-ranger aka foopad on the right), they and our game is the best and stupidest game I’ve ever played <3 

Liehu likes cats (of which he currently has four, one being a lynx), nature, billowing floral dresses and his brother. Kieran likes black leather, hating undead (a source of a few of his facial scars, of which he has many), angst and his brother. He hates the cats, though, for they eat all of his food and sleep on top of him.

And another 5 minute Kieran, because why not! I really need to make a proper reference sheet of Liehu, and many other of my characters too...

Inktober vol. 2

 I've seemingly settled on a leisurely one picture per week pace with my inktoberings this year. My weekly seminar lecture seems to help, as it has been somewhat useless so far (for me personally that is). So I doodled another character from that graphic novel project I told about in last week's inktober.

Let's see if I get something done of Liehu for next week, last time we played I tried and failed to do a proper picture of him and his cats. So hard to draw, that one is...

Inktober

I don't have too high hopes on my participation this year, there's just too much things on my agenda. I am drawing, even more than usually, but as I said earlier everything is still a bit secretive.
 You might get some sneak peeks soonish, but now we shall settle on this sketch I did during a very useless lecture  had to attend. It is a character study for a comic project that I have been mulling over for so very, very long. Not the bigbig one, this is a smaller project, one I'd like to do just to get my comic-drawing groove on~

Sneaky peeky & Lindel Mohan

As I mentioned earlier, my autumn and the works I am crrently busy on are such that I cannot reveal them just yet. Some take more and some take a little less time, but I am sitting on some nice stuff at the moment... Thus, I have become impatient and will share an ultra sneaky sneak peek of one of the things I'm working on:

We've also recently started playing our oldish DnD campaing more regularly, and have been sketching my character the elven sorcerer/druid by the name Lindel Mohan more and more as we play. He is about as cute as a young elf can get, making him a really elusive character for me to capture. These are just some attempts! The cat is his familiar Aya, and nowadays he has some druidic companions too, in the form of a lynx and two kittens; named Kille, Shai & Aurinko respectively.

If Liehu survives you'll see more of him!

A Feather

Trying to remember what painting is, a sketch from a future comic project (on which I should be working after I’ve finished all the other things in my queue). Also, I should probably organise my table…

Black dragon

I haven’t really had the time to draw much since I finished all the drawings for the colouring booklet in early January. Now I’m painfully trying to revive a corpse known as my drawing skills… So have a scandalously dressed black dragon guy, who kindly graced my dreams last night and helped me regain some grasp of drawing again <3

I’m rather sure we might see more of him later~

Aoquaith Bithondan

A watercolour sketch of maybe Aoquaith, who would be the mythical founder of the Shindran realm. An ancient feleth who lost their way quite completely and succesfully and stumbled upon a realm of quiet, dry death. And then decided to try an revive it. Nargwhanal’s distant ancestor. Also Varaith’s not-as-distant ancestor. Which is a source of endless dispute between the respectable clans of Bithondan and Thonsyar.

 With this I'd like to wish a very happy and prosperous New Year to all my followers! You are all the best! 2015 was a good year, let's hope 2016 will be even better.

Schoolwork

I'm doing a presentation on Amano Yoshitaka for Japanese class, but researching his art just makes me want to draw so bad... And draw I did. (I just hope my doodles would suffice as the presentation...)

So, have a very sketchy ode to Amano in the form of Shiranui of draconian descent (not all that distantly related to Varaith)  seducing an ancestor of Nargwhanal, Thiervain, in the somewhat ancient past of my world.

It ended badly, it always does.

Last batch of October original characters

 This time mostly rpg characters; my assassin Severan from Dark Heresy 2 (also known as Not-Kanda) in the upper left corner; Minnow from Changeling the Lost is in the upper right one and below her my utterly stupid and just as cute elven sorcerer Liehu from DnD 3rd Edition game of epic level derpiness. I think it will suffice to say that our party has three rogues and not one frontline fighter and I've never had a s much fun playing DnD in my life
 The baby in the middle is a mixed blood descendant of dragon & shindrans and all magnificence from my comic and the last one is little Illathain a special someone wanted to create into my comic's world, and so we did.

 And so this ends, whew, I never imagined I'd be able to doodle so many sketches! And now I need to return to my normal drudgery, art books don't draw themselves...

3rd week of characters

3rd week of original characters. This batch contains many of my absolute favorite darlings of all time. Many of them are main characters of the ye olde comic. Starting from the top left corner is Adal Bodgen a human lady and one of the main characters in my comic. To her right is the one I probably love most, easily my oldest character still around Mitral lounging around in very strange get up indeed. Below Mitral is Sirithyvin Aunirothu an undead creature living in the shadow's of Adal's home country. The his left is the yellow eyed Faurgwaith, and like the aforementioned trio a very important character in the comic.
 And last is the odd one out Ghuelan Nargwhanal's sworn retainer, bodyguard and swordsmanship teacher.

 Now to continue my somewhat heroic attempts at drawing my own characters. Again from the upper left corner onwards:
 First we have Duin a sort of a religious leader and a mediator with the pact with Living Darkness the royal family of Bithondans have, and speaking of them the duo beside Duin are Nargwhanal's siblings Dealenne and Raerinas. Below the shindras is Danil a creature from the very ancient past of my world, and you can read a bit more about them here.
