We got all my works up on the walls without anyone dying, getting injured or any of the frames falling on the floor, yay! Usually there’s at least some kind of a mishap that’ll complicate things, but this time everything… went suspiciously smooth. I hope this goes on in the vernissage.

Preparation
Save money, frame everything by yourself… It has been quite the ordeal, but everything is almost done, with no loss of limbs or even fingers!
There’s just a bit over a week until the vernissage, too. I’m very nervous! This will be my first solo exhibition vernissage, after all. My first solo exhibition in a very, very long time, too. I’ve only had one before, after art school.
Here’s the FB-event for those who might be interested

What lies Beyond
What lies Beyond, 2017
The day after night of witches, and a very nice yellow moon, is a good day to dally with ink.

Painting dragons
Even if I am very busy currently, I’ve still had the time to work on a commission every now and then, progress is excruciatingly slow, but I wanted to share a little bit of it with you!
I was tasked just to do a dragon, in my own style, which of course led to a creative crisis. After much struggling a passable redesign of my oldest draconian character Lightless Flame, Lord of all things Black and Metal. They too are a character in than ancient comic of mine, that I always talk about.
It has been a great learning process to work on this piece!
Not much else to report, preparing for the exhibition mostly. I'm nervous and excited!

A Course on Japanese Comics
Well, some of you may know that I major in Japanese at the University... and now that I'm almost a master, I somehow ended up teaching a course on manga & other Japanese comics this summer. So, if you're interested in learning about the history, genres and techniques, (or know someone who might be) of manga you'll get more information here! Exciting!
Everything is in Finnish of course.
Otherwise not much to report, working on my final school stuff, painting a commission and hopefully after it is done I'll get to start a new big piece.
