Whew, I'm late and having trouble with Webtoons, which is the new place I'm trying out for my comic but finally I managed to upload the 19th page! I feel just like our warm gem armour -clad young hero looks like in this teaser x'D

Situation with Smack Jeeves

So, Smack Jeeves suddenly changed its layout and structure completely, and in the process broke each and every link to each and every comic. This huge change came without any forewarning whatsoever, and I am quite frankly disappointed and a bit angry.

To add to the annoyance from now on I would need to upload pages at a smaller resolution and I'm not sure if my handwritten text remain readable at a smaller scale, either. Nor do I want to suddenly change the resolution this drastically.

 I need to rethink where I will continue my comic, a thing which I really wouldn't have the time and energy for right now. Feels like social media is getting drastically shittier which each passing day, month and year. First Tumblr implodes on itself,  while all American owned channels try to sanitize the internet, not to mention the hidden algorithms that try to force you to pay for exposure... I'm seriously getting a bit sick of all this, I really love painting and drawing, but these hindrances keep piling up and getting in my way.

 I'm sorry for whining, this has been a frustrating year, and it feels like things won't get any better ever again. Not to mention how useless it feels to worry about art when the world is literally burning around me... :'D

The Road goes ever ever on

Here's an invitation I drew for my mother's retirement party! She requested an invitation with the lyrics from The Road goes Ever on from Tolkien's the Hobbit, with a picture to complement it. I was only too happy to oblige for it was mum who read me the entire Lord of the rings out loud when I was a child and I am forever grateful for that. It made me who I am basically xD
So this was a really happy commission to do!
Now I hope November lets me continue the comic, too x'D

It’s probably impossible to tell from the pic but it is almost 60 cm in diametre and done on fabric. It will be a decoration for a shield carrying pouch!

A visit to Helvetinkolu

Hello! I recently visited Helventinkolu National Park and completely forgot to share my vacation pictures with you! My sister who lives abroad is visiting Finland, so we had to make a ruska-trip even though I've been way too busy for my own good. A day of hiking  in the woods really helped with that!
