Year in Art 2024!

 

It is the time to post my very traditional year in art collage once again :D This year, I mainly got comic pages done, I didn't paint a single big picture, which kind of saddens me, but at least the comic progressed faster than ever before :3
 I can't say this was a good year for me all in all, mostly I struggled to find the time to work on my art, but I hope next year will be better in that sense UwU I'm at least going to keep doing my very best to find as much time for my real work as I possibly can next year too! 

Thank you everyone and I hope everyone has somehow a bit of a better year next year! Let's at least try to make the world a kinder place ourselves :''')

I'll be leaving for a short trip abroad tomorrow, so I might be a bit AFK for the rest of the year, or not! Who knows xD BUT in either case, Happy New Year!

Just as I prophesied with the last page, this month will only see one page update, i'm sorry, but as we all mayhaps know, end of the year is more than hectic for most of us, including poor old me. But on the bright side, this is the 24th page I've done this year, which is the most I've ever been able to manage, so yay for that at least! 😄

Legolas & Gimli

 

This year @golikku (on instagram) won the raffle on my character popularity poll and chose a sketch as their prize! They asked me to draw Legolas and Gimli, and I had so much fun drawing them together ;;W;; 

Anyone who's spent more than give minutes in my company probably already knows but Tolkien's works define me as a human person. My mum read the Lord of the Rings to me and my sisters when I was small and especially Legolas made a huge impression on me, and his friendship with Gimli. I'm just over the moon with how happy drawing this made me and thankful I got to do this for you UwU 

Look forward to next March when I will open the next popularity poll and the next opportunity to win a sketch 😄

I made and ordered a couple new stickers, one of my mystical archmage of a cat Homer Von Homerus Van Hömötiainen and the other on manga being just the best xD There's are mainly for funsies, because if I can't even have fun, then what's the point xD

Whew I made it! Page 104 just at the nick of time! Adal and her father discuss literature! The excitement is palpable xD

 My life's been way too hectic for my own good recently so I'm really happy I managed to pull this off UwU

Popularity poll results for 2024!

Starting with the one vote party, this year I finally had enough energy to try and get a little action to these pictures :D Kijraen, and Emä both got their first ever vote this year, and I imagine the swordmaster Kijraen would be thrilled to cross blades with a naginataish weapon wielding ancient godling :3 And afterwards they're all going to have a picnic together :33

Narya and Voleking shared the third spot this year, with Voleking trying to teach some royal flourish to the young and somewhat timid heir of the Shinran throne :333

On the shared second place we have Maive and Adal, with Maive finally after all these years losing the first spot to someone else (though they had to share the first spot with Voleking last year, too!). Maive is so miffed by this they can't even focus on Adal geeking out on ancient lore xD
 

And lastly! We have a surprise winner of the poll, a behemoth that hoged up almost 25% of all the votes in one fell swoop! And to imagine Ancestor Aoquaith only appeared in about two pages of the latest chapter! Their B.A.E.* was just too strong to resist. Can't really blame anyone who voted them, I poured a lot of love into those pages because I was so happy to finally get to draw them in all their glory! And thanks to you all, I got to do it again here, yeee!

Sun rises again in Hojuk and we're back with Adal! I'm sorry the page is a few days late, I got sick last week and I wasn't able to work on this page x( But now it's done and I'm trying my hardest to get the next page to you too before the end of the month! Might not make it tho...

Page 102! In which we have Maive sneaking about in a dark house but with a lot of company~

 Once again I made it at the nick of time ;;;; But I can explain! I was not at home for the better part of this end of the month, taking care of a cat, so I didn't have quite so much time for doing this comic (which is rather messy and equipment heavy, thus not easily transportable) as I usually do... BUT I managed to get something else done while I was cat sitting away :D And soon you will see what it is >:D

Progress is Progressing. . . . .

 Making slow but steady progress with the next page... I hope to have it done in time, wish me luck xD AGAIN! On a side note I've been taking care of a little cat lady and staying away from home, where I can't work on this comic (hence the slow progress), BUT I have managed to draw almost all of the popularity poll pictures, I don't think I have ever been this early with them xD hope to get the last one done soon too so I can finally announce the winners and the winner of the raffle too UwU

 Oh wow what an amazing weekend we had! thank you so much to everyone who visited our table and my apologies to all who I wasn't able to chat with as much as I would've liked! It was hectic! so many exclamation marks xD

 Anyway, now that my double weekends of events are over I updated my Ko-Fi shop with everything I still have left in stock. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I sold out quite a lot of stuff during these past few weeks, so not everything will appear on the shoppe. I will probably restock some of the items at a later date, but as I have no confirmed events in the horizon, it might take a while.... I'm sorry :'(

Just a little update on where we're at with Avarnight... This month's been a real meat grinder of a July and I won't be able to get the second page done by the end of it ｡⁠:ﾟ⁠(⁠;⁠´⁠∩⁠`⁠;⁠)ﾟ⁠:⁠｡ I had a really good six month streak there, but now it is over, BUT I am working on the next page finally and will get it done ... Eventually;;;;

Pictured here is my half elven barbarian Nanco who I created for a one shot we played on Saturday! I really liked his concept and the fact he accidentally got 16 on charisma. Too bad everything went poorly for him in the actual game :"""( at least he survived though... Poor Nanco... I've posted a coloured version on Cara , so if you're interested in him in full colour have a peek! I do hope I get to use him at some point again...

Narya’s venture back into their homeland continues, but not all looks to be the same as before, at least to their eyes!

…and I do hope I manage to get the second one done this month too xD I’ve been so proud of myself, keeping up the bimonthly updates for half a year now, but this end of the month and whole of next month are so jam packed with stuff I’m anxious if I’ll be able to get everything done ;;;;;; I will keep doing my best!!!1

Speaking of being busy, I will be sharing table number B74 at Ropecon trade hall next weekend with my friends Rikkisu and Chika ! I’m going to be there for the whole weekend too! I’ll post a map soon, as the trade hall is bigger than ever before!

 A while ago I tested out these lovely aurora paints I got from @rikkisu_art  way way back, but ofc I forgot to post anything about it xD I LOVE THESE!!! Now only if I had time to do some recreational paintings too, but all my time goes to trying to keep up with PoA updates x0 I'm almost done with the next page too! 

And I've got a few new exciting things coming up for Ropecon too, keep your eyes peeled >:D

Wooden charms!

I've got two new charms, and they arrived just in time for Desucon next weekend! First is a brand new and ultra limited edition Pottu_Homer and then we've got the blood spattered flower from Avarnight. Both came out great :3

Kusidosentti returns

 Say hi to my newest Homer sticker xD I decided to make a shiny version of this scholarly portrait of him! Me and Rikkisu will be sharing an artisan table in a few weeks in Dsucon! Aka. We'll be in the trade hall not in the artist alley!

In other news, I will probably start downgrading the amount of art I will post here thanks to the ai bullshait going on, or at least I will try to post art in a way that'll hopefully be harder to steal Fe. videos and stuff like that. I'm looking into platforms that are more safe currently and will inform all of you of any new developments UwU

I've also unfortunately been very busy these past few weeks and progress has been slow with the new page! But it is coming along slowly but surely!
