Art Summary 2017

This year went by so fast! It became the year of pale babes completely by accident.
But I kind of managed my goal of a halfway decent pic per month, yay! Next year I’ll try to have a few from which to choose from... That’d be nice.

 Thank you to all my lovely followers for yet another year <3 I hope next year will be kinder to us all than this one.

Elric of Melniboné

A mermified Elric of Melniboné for Marriakhan over in Tumblr​ as my part of the mini art-trade for Mermay :D He is very confused about the situation and about how to use Stormbringer underwater.

I’ve coincidentally been re-reading a bit of the good old Elric books and gushing over him as he is ...just a lot of things that I really, really like; e.g. broody, cruel, skinny, pale and with a big fucking sword of Chaos. And did think I’d like to do a tiny bit of fan art of him, and now I got the opportunity! Elric is also the reason I know Marriakhan since we "met" when I commented on an Elric fan art piece of theirs many, many years ago...

Marriakhan drew my derptastic elven sorcerer-druid Liehu, as a beautiful perfect little mer-elf!

Schoolwork

I'm doing a presentation on Amano Yoshitaka for Japanese class, but researching his art just makes me want to draw so bad... And draw I did. (I just hope my doodles would suffice as the presentation...)

So, have a very sketchy ode to Amano in the form of Shiranui of draconian descent (not all that distantly related to Varaith)  seducing an ancestor of Nargwhanal, Thiervain, in the somewhat ancient past of my world.

It ended badly, it always does.

Looking back

 First my apologies for the prolonged silence in the blog, school has indeed kept me quite busy in the past few months. But apart from that, I feel like this has been the best art year I've had since I graduated Hyvinkään Taidekoulu! I mean look at all these bootsies:

I wish to thank everyone who has been a part of my life this year, and I hope next year will also be prosperous to us all!

Pretties~

My dear friend and amazingly gifted artist Dorian made a fan art piece of my darling red demony-mystery-person from my comics (and several paintings). It is the most incredible piece of art this humble Käpälä has ever seen!
 And even better, it is also a print! I'll give you a sneaky peek, but in order to see it in all its glory on must come to our dazzling table at Taidekuja 17.11.2013~

 Believe me, it is so much more beautiful in real life than this little picture can communicate ^^
