Post-Ropecon void....

Thank you Ropecon!! I had such a good time even if I was dead tired from the get go x€ thank you everyone who visited our table, my tablemates and sorry to everyone I didn't have the time to chat with as much as I would've liked...

Pictured here is my half elven barbarian Nanco who I created for a one shot we played on Saturday! I really liked his concept and the fact he accidentally got 16 on charisma. Too bad everything went poorly for him in the actual game :"""( at least he survived though... Poor Nanco... I've posted a coloured version on Cara , so if you're interested in him in full colour have a peek! I do hope I get to use him at some point again...

Return of Shiranui!

I had to skip two sessions of Rogue Trader due to working too much, and we collectively decided Shiranui, my eldar corsair, spent the time celebrating Khaine’s birthday (or maybe even his Nimipäivä). This consisted of a week of carousing, space drug abusing, mayhaps a few human sacrifices and a general lack of pants on part of all participants.
Afterwards he went and saved a fellow pirate (human) from that cute dog that everyone remembers, which turned out to be a demonspawn of Nurgle, while nursing a hangover to end all hangovers. I seriously sad about that, I really wanted that dog, and by me I mean Shiranui :'(

Shira got a spes norovirus from his troubles, but the saved pirate pal got a case of singing boils, so things could be worse 🖤 the doodle is silly, but I was so happy to finally play I wanted to share 🖤

The Jackdaw Bard strikes again!

Kurama's unbelievable, amazing exploits continue! Last night this brave jackdaw-bardman saved a black dragonborn from a real cage to the amazement of a group of malnourished and abandoned lil' noblins (we gave them a new home) and was promptly almost killed (again) by an underdark horror, after which we angered a beholder (luckily over the hobnoblin-phone) and almost got our asses handed to ourselves by that same group of hobnoblins. Fun times.

AND by the way, I'll be attending Finncon (in Turku this year) as a seller next week end! If you're around, come say hi! There's no entrance fee! Hopefully I'll have lots of new stuff with me ^^

Shiranui's Quest for Dog continued

My brave eldar corsair set his sights on a huge spes dog last time we played and this time he finally got within petting distance. Turns out the doge is made of slime and has psychic powers.

Wip time!

Hey, I’m not entirely dead! Sometimes I sneak a little doodle-time from my schedule and do little sketches, like this rpg char of a friend I promised to draw like 17 years ago. Not done yet, but hopefully soon!
He is Galoz, a meat eater elf like Severan (who can be found elsewhere in my gallery) but he is no meat eater himself, instead he is what you’d call batshit crazy, but in a very adorable way. He is so much fun, when he is not causing grey hair to me the GM or somehow charming alll the girls in the entirety of the City :D

 I've been role-playing and doodling quite a lot during this summer! Here are some of the silly doodles I sketch while we've been playing~

 Upper left corner has my new Eldar Corsair character from a Rogue Trader campaign, Shiranui Chitaira. Beneath him is me brand new jackdaw bard-boy Kurama and his best pals Dr. Mlemmiwinks a doge cleric and Uss aka Lord Hissington, a yuan-ti fighter. The whole campaign is just a clusterfuck of tomfoolery and idiocy, and I love it to bits!

 Upper right corner has Marune from my comic, I'm trying redesign their face, for they have a set of horns on their head and I can't get them to work like I want to. Still, I think this is a pretty nice picture of them. And below is my hissymissy-Severan being the angry young man he is.

Get to know the Lindel Mohan

As many of you probably know, Liehu is my DnD character. We had a session last Sunday and I doodled him, and his valiant lynx Kille yet again. This time I couldn't just stop there but did a whole Get to know the character -meme out of it (thanks to a boring old lecture)! So here he is, in all of his scatterbrained, but well meaning glory!

Rpg doodles

Silly little rpg doodle of my character Liehu (sorcerer-druid with cat on the left) and his one and only, much beloved brother Kieran (rogue-ranger aka foopad on the right), they and our game is the best and stupidest game I’ve ever played <3 

Liehu likes cats (of which he currently has four, one being a lynx), nature, billowing floral dresses and his brother. Kieran likes black leather, hating undead (a source of a few of his facial scars, of which he has many), angst and his brother. He hates the cats, though, for they eat all of his food and sleep on top of him.

And another 5 minute Kieran, because why not! I really need to make a proper reference sheet of Liehu, and many other of my characters too...

I was so busy with everything else after posting the picture of Ninavel, that I completely forgot I had taken a few wip shots of it in order to make a tine little gif of the painting process! So here we have it.
 Next time I'll take even more. This one doesn't really show the progress too well, but then again I did have a few very long work days while making this...

Ninavel the Ever Radiant

Ninavel is one of the major npcs of a campaign of Storium I’ve been running for a few years and occasionally mentioned here too. Eternally benevolent, immensely powerful and shrouded in mystery they seemingly run a secret society bent on regaining old secrets, studying the mysteries of the chaotically multi-dimensional world that is their setting; and having rad parties.

 This thing is huge and I’m still not sure I did all that is Ninavel justice… This picture also forms a diptych together with Laughter, even if they are creatures of different worlds… Maybe. 

Anyway, here's a few close ups too since the original is so damnably big!

 I’ve planned a sibling set of diptychs for these feathery ones, but we shall see when and if I have time to get those done.

Inktober Liehu!

We had a game last Sunday so have an inktobery Liehu with his valiant lynx Kille, and with loyal Aya and the kittens to the side <3 Liehu is a tiny elf and Kille is about as big as lynxes can get, which hopefully explains the lack of size difference.
Kille is supposed to be an approximation of an Iberian lynx, they are epic; and very endangered :’< You can read more about the for example here!

Last batch of October original characters

 This time mostly rpg characters; my assassin Severan from Dark Heresy 2 (also known as Not-Kanda) in the upper left corner; Minnow from Changeling the Lost is in the upper right one and below her my utterly stupid and just as cute elven sorcerer Liehu from DnD 3rd Edition game of epic level derpiness. I think it will suffice to say that our party has three rogues and not one frontline fighter and I've never had a s much fun playing DnD in my life
 The baby in the middle is a mixed blood descendant of dragon & shindrans and all magnificence from my comic and the last one is little Illathain a special someone wanted to create into my comic's world, and so we did.

 And so this ends, whew, I never imagined I'd be able to doodle so many sketches! And now I need to return to my normal drudgery, art books don't draw themselves...

Looking back

 First my apologies for the prolonged silence in the blog, school has indeed kept me quite busy in the past few months. But apart from that, I feel like this has been the best art year I've had since I graduated Hyvinkään Taidekoulu! I mean look at all these bootsies:

Vandir, the Heroic

 I became the editor of a rpg! The game is called Fluxborn and we just published it in DriveThruRPG ! Everyone is most cordially invited to check our game out, any and all feedback will also be greatly appreciated! But first of all, try it out and hopefully have fun with game! 

And this guy here, is my darling Vandir~  He started out as a playtesting one shot character, whom I made into the cheesiest of cheesecakes I could manage. You know a darkly epic, pretty assassin-vampire (not really a vampire) in high heels with a shady past and an amnesia... Needless to say kind of fell in love with him, and I'm not even sorry.

RP-doodle

  School has been eating up my time like no other once again, so I've had way too little time to draw for months now... But I do think things will get better from now on and I'll finally have time to doodle up some schemes I've been having in my head for way too long~

 In the meantime, have a little doodle I did yesterday when I got reunited with my cheesiest role-playing character creation of my whole role-playing career (Malair doesn't come even close!)

Doodling

 Eugh, school is killing me etc.
 But today, instead of reading and then reading some more I decided to doodle, it was a good decision. Slow as I am, nothing is even close to being finished. Nevertheless I wanted to share a sneaky peek screenshot of the stuff I've been doodling today~

 Meet Vandir! He is a rpg character of mine and a shameless mish-mash of all the cliches I love! I'll tell more of him when I finish the doodle ^^

  He is very heavily inspired by Changeling, which the greatest pen & paper roleplaying game ever created (imho). I've been playing it with my friends for a bit over a year and I've seriously never fallen so much in love with a setting in my life, everyone check it out!
