Here’s my Disco Seahorse just in time for
Mermay :’D He is a weedy sea dragon, a magnificently weird fish indeed,
this sure was a learning experience. And those colours. Wow.
This guy is also a part of the Heavenly Bodies series, so he has a
secret backside, and he will become bookmarks some time in the future ^^

Siipisulka
The mystery wing I was drawing months ago is finally ready to revealed!
My first official book cover illustration in the speculative fiction
collection of angel themed short stories. Follow Aavetaajuus for more updates on this project!
I will post the entire illustration when the book is released! Unfortunately it will be in Finnish, though :/

Merea & Uzure
I’m going to call this done, been working on this way too long. This was a year end gift for myself that got way out of hand :’D I apparently love doing huge pieces that make my rickety old computer sputter and die every half an hour.
Merea and Uzure, again two critters from the past of the world of that comic. Merea is the one with burning coals for hair and coincidentally is something akin to a grandparent to my darling black metal dragon. A living, breathing weapon of mass destruction in a skimpy metal bikini, here to set the world ablaze just the way I like them ♡♡
Uzure on the other hand... is also related to a certain someone, but maybe I wont spoil the fun yet (`▽´)
I apologise for the lack of updates in this blog, my life has been crazy for the past year or so, and it won’t get any better just yet, because I’m going to Japan next week! For a bit over two weeks, so less art more tedious vacation pictures! Yay! After that particular hurdle I hop we can get back into a more orderly art life.

Caterpillar Boy of Book-loving
When I was still young, (and so was the Internet), there were a lot of
insanely cute and slightly disturbing caterpillar boys in the dark
corners of the web that I hung out in. I loved them. I still do, but
haven’t seen any in a long, long time.
Maybe there is still a caterpillar boy nook out there somewhere, that I just don’t know about…
/sigh
Anyway, this book loving little fella is also going to be a bookmark, that I will be selling in Desucon Frostbite in Lahti, Finland, this weekend! So, if you’re around, do come say hi, I have tons of other stuff too. I’ll be there on both Saturday and Sunday, as I am not on the Artists’ Alley, but in the Trade Hall (which are both conveniently in the same hall, actually).
And for all of you internationals, who can't be in Lahti, I also slapped him to my Redbubble Shoppe!
This baby is also a part of the Heavenly Bodies series I’m currently working on, check out the Heavenly Bodies tag for more!
And a bonus Homer, because he is the sweetest and cutest cat ever. Such a cuddly boy :'3

Art Summary 2017
This year went by so fast! It became the year of pale babes completely by accident.
But I kind of managed my goal of a halfway decent pic per month, yay! Next year I’ll try to have a few from which to choose from... That’d be nice.
Thank you to all my lovely followers for yet another year <3 I hope next year will be kinder to us all than this one.

Shura finished & announcements
Shura. From the front, and kindly he gives you a glimpse of his backside too. This and the centipede will become bookmarks, hopefully in time for Sarjisfestarit next weekend! Me and Rikkisu will be sharing a table at Zinefest in Tiivistämö (not Oranssi, as there are two spots!)
Shura
is a total babe who came to me in a dream, one of the best I've ever had.
I’ve done a piece on it too, it is buried somewhere deep within my blog.
Originally he was a male witch elf from Warhammer (my own AU of course,
since in canon there are no such things, which is stupid), nowadays he
is so much more!
I have more of these bookmarks planned, too, I call this series of floaty boys The Celestial Bodies (cue absolutely no laughter). As for the rest of this Autumn, I will sadly have very little time to draw as I am attempting a swift garduation from the University . Thesis will take a lot of time to get done, I fear... But before that I will attend one more event the Pagan Autumn Fair in September of which I'll tell more closer to the event!

A batch of scroll-prints
They are 60 cm high, except Laughter who is a tiny 55 cm~ The width varies a bit from piece to piece. As a bonus there's an A4 sized mini-Ninavel for scale. There's small and big prints of all these other darlings, too!
And! It seems like people can visit the creator's alley of Worldcon even without having the membership to the event! So if you want to come and say hi to me there, I'll be having a table with Pihlajatar from Friday to Sunday ^^

Postcards!
My first set of postcards fresh off the printers! They’re printed on 300g/m2 cardstock and have an exquisite matte finish~ You just need to touch them to understand the height of sublime the surface possesses~~~
Want to have one? I’ll be selling them at the Dark Market of Lumous Gothic Festival this weekend in Tampere, and they’re available in my Tictail-shop, too

The Red Shroud
The Red Shroud, 2017
I love making these, it is so relaxing and stimulating at the same time. And moreover helps me to process the more esoteric and abstract levels of my ye olde comic, one that will hopefully one day be reborn…
Slapped it into my Rebubble too.

Elric of Melniboné
I’ve coincidentally been re-reading a bit of the good old Elric books and gushing over him as he is ...just a lot of things that I really, really like; e.g. broody, cruel, skinny, pale and with a big fucking sword of Chaos. And did think I’d like to do a tiny bit of fan art of him, and now I got the opportunity! Elric is also the reason I know Marriakhan since we "met" when I commented on an Elric fan art piece of theirs many, many years ago...
Marriakhan drew my derptastic elven sorcerer-druid Liehu, as a beautiful perfect little mer-elf!

I’ll be there on Sunday 10-16 on table nr. 21 with these lovelies and a ton of other art! See you there~

Art Summary 2016
I decided to finally make a summary of my own too, since it has been a productive year for me. Though, far from the level of productivity I would like to reach. A proper piece for each month would be so nice, here we still have a lot of silly little doodles for many months. Well, let’s see how it goes next year!
Thank you all who have been a part of my life this past year, and I sincerely hope next year will be better for all of us!

Ninavel progress animation
Next time I'll take even more. This one doesn't really show the progress too well, but then again I did have a few very long work days while making this...

The evolution of the glove
This week I haven't had that much luck with my inktobers, I've doodled, but nothing is satisfactory; luckily there are other things on my agenda, too! Like the progress of this mystical glove I've been slowly working on:
Soo, hopefully very soon, I can finally reveal this baby in all their magnificent glory! I've tried my utmost to keep all of the picture as glimmery as this glove; the glove of gloves!
ps. I hope everyone remembers Taidekuja, that I'm arranging? Time is drawing near, and soon we will start to unveil our sellers and programkeepers; follow us on facebook for example to keep yourself in the know~

Working on new stuff
A few small sketches of characters in my next comic project~ and the colourful one is a npc from a Storium game I’m narrating. Storium is funner than fun, I can definitely recommend checking it out!But our game is private unfortunately :(
Also as promised a better picture of the Blood God scarf, so here you go ~

Red things
Blood shenanigans by one of my oldest characters. Relevant to that comic I used to draw. Relevant to the art book thing I’m doing.I might tweak this up for it but now I’m done with Sai crashing with this one.

Abstract experiment
This being revamp of an old experimental abstract comic I made for a graphic storytelling course.
I'm still not sure if this a disgusting act of cultural imperialism from my part or a step into the unknown possibilities of kanji-abstract-comics :'D
How does this make you feel (I have a real urge to hear how this makes people feel :'D)? And has anyone seen something alike before? I tried to search for comics that use kanji as a form of visual expression with little luck...
It is based on Japanese, btw, which is kind of not the best way of doing this, since Chinese language consists only of kanji without the okuriganas (ie. hiragana & katakana in-between the kanji), but unfortunately I haven't been able to study Chinese just yet. So Japanese has to do for now...
Oh yeah, due to pressure from a lovely friend I also made a facebook page :'D Feel free to like it and follow me there too~
